CGSW 19, New York, Day 1I am at the CGSW right now.
Last night, Hans Bennis delivered the first keynote address "Reflexive Microvariation: On the internal structure of Germanic reflexives". (Hans during Marcel's introduction) ![]() ... in this room. ![]() Hans presented an overview of the SAND (Syntactic Atlas of Netherlands Dialects) project. The first volume of this atlas will come out with Amsterdam University Press in December 2004 (the second volume is scheduled for 2005). The first volume contains material on reflexives, leftward movement, complementizers, complementizer agreement, subject doubling, and pronominal subjects. We got a preview of the beautiful maps yesterday. Watch out for it! |
